Accompanists
Joachim Lim
Joachim Lim was born in Singapore in 2001 and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.
Joachim gave his first public performance at the age of four in Singapore and went on to receive many international top prizes in several prestigious competitions including Singapore, Carnegie Hall, Madrid, Budapest, and Japan.
Across London, he has performed most notably at the Barbican Concert Hall, the Southbank Centre and St Martin-in-the-Fields.
In addition, he has worked many international conductors in festivals and is looking forward to joining us as he felt we provide a friendly environment to work in.
Stuart Beare
Stuart Beare is rehearsal accompanist on Mondays. He is no stranger to AMVC as he has lived and worked near Alcester, and we are indebted to him for his support.
Stuart was born into a musical family who were interested in classical, choral and swing music. He had an education to academy finals followed by music arranging and during his university life he spent many an hour playing in local pubs to fund his courses.
He is married and started his exam accompaniment experiences when both of his daughters’ entered examinations for clarinet, saxophone and violin. For several years he was also the accompanist for Alcester Ladies choir.
He has enjoyed a variety of musical experiences including writing the orchestral score for the Stratford Academy Music Centre production, based on “Commedia de rade” and participated in the professional Bairkatz Swing Orchestra and Singers for bespoke dance and charity events. For several years he was chairman of Stratford Upon Avon Festival.
His current organ and choral work is at Bidford, Arrow (Holy Trinity) and the Churches of Arden (St Peters) and he is delighted to have recently become the rehearsal accompanist on a Monday evening for AMVC.
